# Update an approval

PUT https://api.finput.com.au/api/v1/approvals/{id}
Content-Type: application/json

Org-scoped: a financier can only reach their own rows, and cannot move one to another organisation.

Reference: https://docs.finput.com.au/api/endpoints/approvals/update-approval

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — JWT access token obtained from `POST /api/v1/auth/login`, or a `finput_sk_...` API token

## Request

### Path parameters

- `id` (integer, required)

### Body (application/json)

This endpoint expects an Approval.

- `name` (string, required)
- `doc_level` (enum, required) — Documentation burden. Results sort least-onerous first.
  - Allowed values: `low_doc`, `lite_doc`, `full_doc`
- `id` (integer, optional)
- `organisation_id` (integer, optional) — Owning financier. Set from the caller.
- `priority` (float, optional, default: 0) — Ordering within a financier's group — higher sorts first, so a financier decides which of their approvals is the headline row.
- `min_deposit_percentage` (string, optional, nullable)
- `min_deposit_amount` (string, optional, nullable)
- `max_term` (integer, optional, nullable) — Longest term (months) this approval will write. Does two jobs: it is shown on the Matrix result row, and it is the upper bound a supplied `term` is tested against.
- `min_term` (integer, optional, nullable) — Shortest term (months) this approval will write. Criterion only — unlike `max_term` it is not shown on the result row.
- `min_abn_age` (integer, optional, nullable) — Months.
- `max_abn_age` (integer, optional, nullable)
- `min_gst_age` (integer, optional, nullable) — Months.
- `max_gst_age` (integer, optional, nullable)
- `min_asset_age` (integer, optional, nullable) — Months.
- `max_asset_age` (integer, optional, nullable)
- `min_asset_cost` (string, optional, nullable) — GST-inclusive dollars.
- `max_asset_cost` (string, optional, nullable)
- `min_borrower_age` (integer, optional, nullable) — Years — brokers state borrower age in years, not months.
- `max_borrower_age` (integer, optional, nullable)
- `min_file_age` (integer, optional, nullable) — Credit-file age in months.
- `max_file_age` (integer, optional, nullable)
- `min_credit_score` (integer, optional, nullable) — Credit score floor. Distinct from credit-file age.
- `max_credit_score` (integer, optional, nullable)
- `home_owner` (boolean, optional, nullable) — Tri-state — null is "not checked", true/false must match.
- `private_sale` (boolean, optional, nullable)
- `sale_hire_back` (boolean, optional, nullable)
- `asset_state` (enum, optional)
  - Allowed values: `none`, `new`, `used`, `demo`
- `transaction_types` (list of enum, optional) — Empty means every transaction type.
  - Allowed values: `purchase`, `refinance`, `sale_hire_back`, `capital_raise`
- `industries` (list of string, optional) — ANZSIC divisions. Empty means every industry.
- `asset_ids` (list of integer, optional) — Assets this approval covers. Empty means all. A member matches itself and everything beneath it in the asset tree, so financiers author against categories while brokers submit leaves.
- `assets` (list of integer, optional)
- `rate_bracket_ids` (list of integer, optional)
